Modiites had Knockdown the Lockdown with TCS
Students at Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala are sharpening their communication skills and are making themselves ready for jobs during the lockdown period. Along with the General Studies classes being run by the General Studies Circle of the College, students have also completed the Career Edge – Knockdown the Lockdown course offered by TCS during the lockdown period. College Principal, Dr Khushvinder Kumar congratulated the students on completion of the prestigious course designed by TCS especially to enhance employability skills and motivate them to keep themselves busy in such fruitful activities.
Dr Ganesh Kumar Sethi, Incharge of General Studies Circle informed that Career Edge – Knockdown the Lockdown is a 15 day self-paced online course offered by TCS free of cost which has been specially created to help students effectively utilize the time that they have during the lockdown in developing soft and hard skills to enhance and sharpen personality and knowledge. Students need to dedicate just 2 hours per day over 2 weeks to learn diverse skills which prepare them for their career and keep them ahead of peers. Through this course, students of Modi College have gained the necessary skill sets demanded by industry.
Bhawna, a college student of BSc Non Medical, after attending the course said that she really enjoyed the course. In her feedback she informed that it was a well planned course and in this lockdown period, this was an extremely helpful course to learn many skills. She along with her peers have learnt about soft skills, proper way of email writing, effective way to write Resume, communication skills, interview skills, presentation skills and many more. The assignments after completion of every lesson were very beneficial for the entire learning process. College Principal, Dr Khushvinder Kumar appreciated the efforts of all members of General Studies Circle. He also applauded students for their devotion towards these Capacity Building Programmes along with regular studies and wished them luck to crack the prestigious competitive exams in coming future.

ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੋਫਟ ਸਕਿੱਲਸ ਨੂੰ ਬੇਹਤਰ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਤਾਲਾਬੰਦੀ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਨੌਕਰੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਜਨਰਲ ਸਟੱਡੀਜ਼ ਸਰਕਲ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਚਲਾਏ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਜਨਰਲ ਅਧਿਐਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਲਾਸਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ, ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਟੀ.ਸੀ.ਐਸ. ਦੁਆਰਾ ਲੌਕਡਾਉਨ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਕੋਰਸ ‘ਕੈਰੀਅਰ ਐਜ – ਨੋਕਡਾਉਨ ਦ ਲਾਕਡਾਉਨ’ ਵੀ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਟੀ.ਸੀ.ਐੱਸ. ਦੁਆਰਾ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਯੋਗਤਾ ਦੇ ਹੁਨਰ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਵੱਕਾਰੀ ਕੋਰਸ ਦੇ ਪੂਰਾ ਹੋਣ ‘ਤੇ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਫਾਇਦੇਮੰਦ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਰੁੱਝੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਜਨਰਲ ਸਟੱਡੀਜ਼ ਸਰਕਲ ਦੇ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਡਾ. ਗਣੇਸ਼ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਸੇਠੀ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ‘ਕੈਰੀਅਰ ਐਜ – ਨੋਕਡਾਉਨ ਦ ਲਾਕਡਾਉਨ’ ਇੱਕ 15 ਦਿਨਾਂ ਸਵੈ-ਗਤੀਆਨ ਆਨਲਾਈਨ ਕੋਰਸ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਮੁਫਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਟੀ.ਸੀ.ਐਸ. ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਵਰਤਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਸ਼ਖਸੀਅਤ ਅਤੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਹਤਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਨਰਮ ਅਤੇ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਹੁਨਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਵਿਚ ਤਾਲਾਬੰਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਭਿੰਨ ਹੁਨਰ ਸਿੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਦਿਨ ਸਿਰਫ 2 ਘੰਟੇ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਜਰੂਰਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਰੀਅਰ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਣੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਕੋਰਸ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਰੀਏ, ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਦਯੋਗ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਲੋੜੀਂਦੀਆਂ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਨਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ।
ਬੀ.ਐਸ.ਸੀ. (ਨਾਨ-ਮੈਡੀਕਲ) ਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਨੇ ਕੋਰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਸਨੇ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਕੋਰਸ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਆਪਣੀ ਫੀਡਬੈਕ ਵਿਚ ਉਸਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਇਕ ਯੋਜਨਾਬੱਧ ਕੋਰਸ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਲੌਕਡਾਉਨ ਅਵਧੀ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੁਨਰ ਸਿੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਮਦਦਗਾਰ ਕੋਰਸ ਸੀ। ਉਸਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੋਫਟ ਸਕਿੱਲਸ, ਈਮੇਲ ਲਿਖਣ ਦਾ ਸਹੀ ਢੰਗ, ਰਿਸਯੂਮ ਲਿਖਣ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਢੰਗ, ਸੰਚਾਰ ਹੁਨਰ, ਇੰਟਰਵਿਉ ਕੁਸ਼ਲਤਾ, ਪੇਸ਼ਕਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਹੁਨਰ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਕੁਝ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ। ਹਰ ਪਾਠ ਦੇ ਪੂਰਾ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਮਿਲੀ ਅੱਸਾਇਨਮੈਂਟ ਸਾਰੀ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਫਾਇਦੇਮੰਦ ਸੀ। ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਜਨਰਲ ਸਟੱਡੀ ਸਰਕਲ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਰਾਲੇ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਯਮਤ ਅਧਿਐਨ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਮਰਪਤਤਾ ਲਈ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੰਨਿਆਂ-ਪ੍ਰਮੰਨੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਯੋਗਤਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਸ਼ੁਭ-ਇਛਾਵਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ।
